We have a very experienced and well-known Australian-based client who is looking to further grow its offshore team.

The client is an Accounting firm in Melbourne that caters to a wide range of individual and business clients from different industries. They have extensive knowledge in training offshore staff and currently employ five team members from the Philippines.

They are looking for a Bookkeeper who has prior experience working with Australian firms and is willing to be trained into a Junior Tax Accountant.

The role includes:

• Bank reconciliation
• Accounts Receivable / Payable
• Month-end functions including reporting and resolving account discrepancies
• Preparation of IAS / BAS
• Preparation of client emails
• Preparation of financial statements in Xero
• Further training to learn how to be an Australian Accountant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline
• At least 1 year of proven work experience in a bookkeeping role for an Australian accounting firm
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero is a must
• Knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB AE, Hubdoc, MYOB AccountRight, and Dext is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Excel is a must
• Ability to multitask and be able to work on multiple clients at the same time is essential
• High level accuracy, attention to detail are essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to fit in with an existing offshore team is essential

System Requirements:

• Stable internet connection (at least 50 MBPS)

Work Setup and schedule:

• Full-time
• Day Shift (8 Hours)
• Fixed Saturday and Sunday off
• Remote/Work-from-home
• A separate room to undertake work is required
