The Remote Accountant (TRA) is an innovative BPO in the Philippines that specialises in connecting great people with great Australian Accounting Firms.
We have an Australian-based client who is looking to start an offshore team. The client is a rapidly growing accounting firm in Victoria that specialises in providing accounting, tax, and advisory services as well as financial planning to individuals and businesses across different industries.
They are looking for a highly skilled senior tax accountant who has excellent communication skills and is looking for a long-term career in accounting.
This role is 100% remote (work-from-home)

Minimum Experience:
- You must have 4+ years minimum proven work experience as a tax accountant with an Australian accounting firm
The role includes:
- Preparation of BAS / IAS returns
- Preparation of Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets and depreciation schedules for business clients
- Preparation and lodgment of income tax returns for individual and business clients
- Reviewing of client accounting records in predominantly XERO and other software like MYOB, Quickbooks, etc. to provide accurate and timely management reports
- Assisting in a range of taxation matters including FBT, CGT, income tax, Div7A and GST
- Providing assistance with administrative roles (e.g. ASIC corporate register)
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline
- CPA Certification is a plus
- Proficiency in LodgeiT highly regarded
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, and other accounting software programs
- Proficiency in MS 365 and Sharepoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) is a must
- Experience managing multiple clients
- Must be highly organised and detail-oriented
- Must be a team player
System Requirements:
- Stable internet connection (at least 80 MBPS)
Work Setup and Schedule:
- Full-time
- Day Shift (8 Hours)
- Fixed Saturday and Sunday off
- Remote/Work-from-home
- A separate room to undertake work is required
- Must not be disturbed by electronic devices during work hours
